'Stuff' Does Not Equal Wealth

In an interview posted on YouTube, Congressman Pete Stark (D-CA) tells journalist Jan Helfeld: “National debt [is] an indication of the wealth of the country.” “So debt equals wealth?” asks Helfeld. “In federal accounts … in national scheme of things … that’s quite right,” replies Stark. (The interview ends badly, with the Congressman telling the journalist to “get the **** out of here!”)
